Emily Gay grew up in the great sports state of Ohio, where she was a fan of her home teams from a very young age. Growing up participating in sports such as competitive dancing and drag racing, Gay developed a strong sense of competition and leadership. This only furthered her passion for sports, and during her college career she knew she wanted to turn that passion into a career.
Emily attended Wright State University where she majored in Mass Communication. During her college career, she eas a Contributing Sports Writer for the campus newspaper, The Guardian, and was a Color Commentator and Sports Producer for both women’s and men’s basketball games through the university radio station, WWSU 106.9 FM. During which time, Gay took to the sidelines as Indianapolis Colts cheerleader for the 2011 season.
Gay began chasing her dream to become an on air host and sideline reporter when she was a finalist to become a Fox Sports Ohio Girl in 2013. Emily has been spotted on the sidelines covering area high school football games on "MVCC Game of the Week" through the Miami Valley Communications Council.
Her adventures have most recently led her to working for the #1 CBS Affiliate in the Country, WHIO in Dayton, Ohio where she is a Daybreak News Producer.
Outside of broadcasting and production, Emily is an adventure junkie and loves to travel. She also enjoys volunteering within the sports industry and hopes to one day stand on the NFL sidelines.
